Stupid Stuff

In all my born days, I have never seen such controversy and chaos on such a grand scale and on so many levels than what is being dealt out in today’s times.  Coming of age in the 60’s could be considered a pragmatic prep period for future events that throw the proverbial “monkey wrench” into our self-serving sphere.  How are we to proceed with our moral obligation to the betterment of mankind when we, ourselves, are bottled up in corrupted confusion in our day to day lives.  Everywhere we turn to in the media is as if we are re-entering the Dark Ages.  I scan the internet on a daily basis and the headlines have become a mind-boggling bonanza of bodacious banter.  The 60’s became a decade of political unrest that grew out of the protests over Civil Rights, Watts Riots, Vietnam, Democratic National Convention & The Chicago Seven, etc., etc., etc., and ending, strangely enough, with 3 days of peace & love at Woodstock.  To say “Times Are A-Changing” back then would be an understatement compared to today’s 20’s.  I survived the 60’s, in spite of myself, having entered the decade while in 8th grade and exiting it freshly “off the boat” from Vietnam.  I couldn’t have been born at a better time.

Today’s coming of age youngins are strapped with a divided nation that seems intent on making itself out to become FUBAR.  Hopefully, they can make sense of it because I do not have the ability to recognize it anymore.  The 2 major political parties have absolutely nothing in common with each other.  Bipartisanship is dead.  It’s gone belly-up.  The unfortunate thing is that the “Pubs” will continue to stand in the “Dems” way of getting anything done.  Power is the name of their game.  All that matters to them IS power, so they are going to skip through the months ahead leading up to the midterm elections instead of doing regular government work.  They think they are dazzling us with diamonds when all they are actually doing is baffling us with bullshit.  I can go into a whole slew of garbage they keep slinging our way, what with all the conspiracy theories they have mired themselves down with from Jewish laser beams to Italygate and beyond.  You have to admit though, they are persistent.  Just in case you missed the far-out can they top the Jewish laser beam theory with their top administrative tomfoolery that ended up as Italygate, let me fill you in.  The Trump administration knows no bounds and will go through any lengths to nullify the election results.  Thank goodness that what I am about to lay out for you did not come to fruition.  Trump’s chief of staff, Mark Meadows, tried to coerce the Justice Department with an email he sent to the acting Attorney General, Jeffrey Rosen.  Seems that the administration’s conspiracy theory about Italian satellites being capable of remotely tampering with our voting machines and switching votes from Trump to Biden became fresh fodder for the media to run amok with.  Yessiree Bob, your Republican wackos in action working hard at keeping the election fraud fiasco at center stage.  I have to give them high marks though for kookie creativity.  Thank goodness that the Justice Department let it drop from sight.  Not sure how us normal folks would react if taxpayer dollars were used to broker a meeting between a top government agency and the Italygate guy.  Looks rather stupid all around and there is no way to convince the Stupublicans just how asinine they are.  I sure hope the young folks in this country can straighten them out as all I can do is write about it and bring it to your attention, with a bit of flair of course!  Stay tuned…..!
