The Lone Ranger

The Lone Ranger is riding alone these days, no Tonto or other sidekick to keep the kemosabe company as she keeps maneuvering in the land of Trumpublicans.   Liz Cheney is a Conservative politician mired down in an alien landscape filled with off the charts conspiracy theorists who now rule the Republican Party.  I do not have her grit.  I would certainly know when I am not wanted and I would have abandoned that House long ago, unless……well, no sense in going any further with that statement since the thought of being a Republican is so gut wrenching it would feel like being infirmed with a constant kidney stone attack.  If I could sit down and chat with her, I would look at her situation in the simplest of terms which, in the end, is what it all comes down to and ask just one question: “Well Liz, do you wanna be right or do you wanna be a weenie?”

Let’s look at the crux of it and pit her against just one of her colleagues.  It would be so easy to use one of those Q-Quack slime balls like Gaetz, Greene, Boebert, etc. but I’m going with someone who is more mature and has been around awhile.  I prefer to stay away from the McNut twins as they have had their fair share of Sullie-sarcasm aplenty in past articles, so let’s go with Senator Lindsey Graham ® South Carolina since I haven’t picked on him as much.  This is his latest quote which he stated on Fox Snooze yesterday: “I would just say to my Republican colleagues, can we move forward without President Trump?  The answer is no.  I’ve always liked Liz Cheney, but she’s made the determination that the Republican Party can’t grow with President Trump.  I’ve determined we can’t grow without him.”  Wow!  Fact check: 4 sentences with a minimum of 1 error per sentence.  1st sentence: he referred to Trump as President.  This is incorrect as he lost in the electoral vote 306 - 232 and he lost the popular vote by more than 7 million.  2nd sentence: There are 2 answers here, but they cancel each other out.  If you use no, you have to use it in a complete fact checked sentence: no, it doesn’t matter if Trump is involved or not as the Republican Party isn’t going to move forward as it is statistically shrinking so, the answer to sentence 2 is yes.  Sentence 3: see the fact check for the 1st sentence.  Sentence 4: See the fact check for the 2nd sentence.  There you have it, simple and in layman’s terms.

Senator Graham is a typical example of the 2-headed Republican Legislator.  In the old days, they were  2-faced, but only one brain.  As time went on, they realized that the Republican brain only develops to 50% of normal capacity so they had to create a hybrid.  They would have been better off sticking with the original model.  They are programmed to respond accordingly.  Each situation is sorta custom made as it depends on the circumstances involved.  For instance, not long ago Graham had high praise for Cheney pointing out that she is one of the “strongest and most reliable conservative voices of the Republican Party.”  Now that is arguably the highest compliment that a Conservative Legislature can receive from a colleague, it would be real close to be called a Democrat since any remaining conservatives have since become conspiracy theorists.  I term them as “The New Cult” with no hope.  Lindsey is now operating out of his other face as it is a better benefit for him at the moment  So what’s next for Liz?  Well, we’ll find out next week when the lamebrains vote and it has to be a chore since they are operating with only 50% brain capacity!  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
