More Trump Stumps

John Lambert, the 25 year old co-founder of “Students For Trump, is going to jail.  A judge has called him a “cold blooded fraudster for posing as a lawyer and scamming clients.”  He was sentenced to 13 months in prison for running a scheme for impersonating a high profile lawyer and swindled $46,000 from clients.  Lambert pleaded guilty to the charges.  Okay, let’s dissect this and see why he’s going to prison, which he should, but why isn’t his hero?  I mean, this guy is a Trump wannabe and probably 10 times smarter, which isn’t too terribly difficult.  He pretended to be Eric Pope, a Manhattan based lawyer, with a law degree from New York State University, a finance degree from the University of Pennsylvania and 15 years of experience.  He ran the scheme for 2 years while an undergraduate student in North Carolina.  He expressed regret at his sentencing for his poor choices.  Poor choices?  Voting for Trump was more than a poor choice and probably set him off on the road to perdition.  Now if this young man goes to prison for 13 years, then Trump should get at least 3 consecutive life terms.  There is an upside to this, he is no longer a Trump supporter.  I guess he should have voted for Hillary.

I don’t know about you guys but I’m all aflutter with anticipation of a definite, possible, maybe debate between Green New Deal sponsor, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Bubbameister herself, Marjorie Taylor Greene.  You would think that the last name that MTG has, she would be all over the makings of this proposed concept.  But alas, her M.O. has to be for the publicity.  I, myself, would not wish to go up against AOC on her turf no matter what the subject.  MTG tweeted AOC challenging her sponsorship by stating, “Since you have a degree in Economics, you should be more than qualified.”  Well, at least one of them is.  Alas, as entertaining as this challenge sounds, I’m sure AOC has a loaded real working government agenda she has to plow through and has no desire to give Ms. Bubba the time of day.  MTG, though, has all sorts of time on her hands since she was stripped of committee duties.  She’s off with the present most wanted teen trafficking porn star renegade from the Sunshine State, Matt Gaetz.  Boy, if ever there was a poster child for Jeff Foxworthy’s “redneck” jokes, he would be a prime candidate, but there is some real stiff Trumpublican competition out there, such as: well, the list is way too long here for one article.  This daffy duo has taken their “America First” rallies on the road and their 1st stop is “The Villages” retirement center in Central Florida.  As of 2019, the population there is listed as 79,372 with about 60% of them being Trump supporters.  That means that there are approximately 47,623.2 folks there that are senile.  Chances are, they voted for Reagan and still think he’s President.  What’s really sad, is that 92% of the residents there are younger than me.  I’m not sure where these 2 clowns are off to next and I wonder if they are going to even hit up the areas they represent.  Perhaps they don’t feel comfortable there or maybe they aren’t welcome.  It’s my own fault that I don’t know their agenda and it’s very easy to understand.  See, I don’t like them and I don’t want to know them because I am just happy to say nasty things about them and that’s good enough for me.  Here’s the thing, if I did get to know them, then I would, most likely, hate ‘em!  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...
