UNCHECK THIS!

Okay, you’re not going to believe this one.  I can’t stop laughing over the latest Repugnican Party marketing scheme.  Before I fill you in, I need to tell you about the last time I laughed this long.  It was in the Spring of 2009 and I was driving south on I-35 and heading to the Twin Cities.  About 40 miles from my destination, I saw this huge billboard of the former President Bush, Jr. doing a little jig with headlines that said, “Do you miss me yet?”  I laughed for the rest of the way.  I have now beaten that record and it took another political arm of the Republican Party.  This time, it’s the National Republican Congressional Committee who has printed up a big bright yellow warning box on their recurring monthly donations site that states: “We need to know we haven’t lost you to the Radical Left.  If you UNCHECK this box, we will have to tell Trump you’re a DEFECTOR & sided with the Dems.  CHECK this box and we can win back the House and get Trump to run in 2024.”  Right below that statement they added: “Make this a monthly recurring donation.”  Wow!  Why is it that if I succeed in scamming billions of dollars like that, I go to jail.  After I settled down from splitting a gut or two, I started to wonder about the possibility of being a DEFECTOR.  It would take a lot of con since, A: I’m not a Republican, B: I don’t vote for those turds and C: I wouldn’t so much as donate the sweat off my coolionies!  You gotta admit though, the NRCC must have some big kahunas cause they’re getting away with it and no one is going to jail.

I wonder if I personally know anyone falling for this shit.  If I ever find out that I do, I’ll do my best to get them into counseling.  I have read a few articles about this marketing scam prior to the yellow box warning and it’s not a pretty sight.  This lottery of thieves are bilking these MAGA morons accounts and some don’t find out until their account is closed.  A consumer advocate group and user interface designers have stated that these yellow boxes are, what they call, a “dark pattern” that is intended to deceive Trump supporters.  Deceive my ass, this shits gotta be illegal.  It’s too bad that we haven’t figured out a way to Euthanize the Republican Party!  

Let’s look at the central focus of the yellow box statement.  If you uncheck the box they are going to sic Trump after you.  Oh no, not that!  Whatever shall I do?  I can’t think of anything in this world that I would want more than to have Trump personally come after me mano a mano.  We’ll disregard the physical stuff and make it a War of Words.  All he and I would be armed with will be our own personal verbiage.  It shouldn’t take him more than a minute to start sputtering and repeating himself.  By the time I’m warmed up, he’ll be babbling and tripping over his tongue.  By the time I’m done with him he won’t know his ass from a hole in the ground and the Society for the Preservation of Moral Decay will have to sift through his remains.  Man oh man, I need to put that on my bucket list, somewhere between finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and becoming a rock star.  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. The New Cult
