The Ditzy Duo

The Bill to reauthorize a bone marrow transplant program was passed by the House on Thursday evening.  It reauthorizes the C.W. Bill Young Cell Transplantation Program and National Cord Blood Inventory, which facilitate bone marrow and umbilical cord blood donations and transplants for people with leukemia or other blood diseases.  Now I don’t know what all that means and I’m not equipped to do medical articles out of my realm, but this sounds really important and you will soon see as to why I am making an exception.  On the surface, this looks like one of those bi-partisan shoo-in votes that should get close to 100% approval.  It’s not exactly like the vote that took place on Dec. 8th, 1941, but medically speaking, it would be close to that level and I guess it was as the vote was 415-2.  I like it when the House passes no brainer Bills like this.  Now comes the punch line: guess who the 2 nay-sayers were that voted against it?  I will give you a big hint, they are 2 newbie females of the species that I have denigrated here at Sullie’s Place time and time again and they are back by unpopular demand, America’s Bobbsey Twins, Lauren Boebert & Marjorie Taylor Greene.  You would think that since this was a no brainer, they would fit right in, but alas, I guess the magnetic pull of their normal controversial modus operandi was too much for them to resist.

The feedback that I have read is quite comical.  There are a couple that really stand out that I would like to share with you.  One guy tweeted, “These two are like an evil Laverne and Shirley,” and another guy tweeted, “Thank you so much Aspen, Colorado and East Jesus, Georgia.  I have to assume everyone else you could have sent was worse.”  Ahh yeah!  I love it!  I could read about feedback like that all day.  It makes me feel that my denigrating these 2 morons is special and purposeful.  I credit another journalist for a word I had never heard before, Mr. Matt Fuller, Senior Politics Editor at The Daily Beast called them a tendentious couple.  Even if I didn’t know about these 2 misfits, that word would do the trick.

I am hoping that this is the last article I write as them being the headliners, but given their penchant for Trump worship, their antics are far from over.  For example, right now in real time, another Marjorie Taylor Greene headline has come to my attention.  It seems that she and Paul Gosar ® Arizona are the co-leaders of, “The America First Caucus.”  It calls for the promotion of Anglo-Saxon political traditions with a platform that maintains that, “An intellectual boldness is needed in order to follow in Trump’s footsteps and potentially step on some toes and sacrifice sacred cows for the good of the American Nation.”  Well, they sure have a way with words, but it always seems to be going down the wrong way on a one way street.  But wait, there’s more as also climbing on board is Louie Gohmert ® Texas and our old pal Matt Gaetz ® Florida, a fan favorite that refuses to euthanize himself.  If you have a chance, you have to check this out as there is a whole slew of “Pubs” that are berating them.  I don’t think the “Dems” wanna touch this one.  This is something they would prefer to stay away from.  Just the name alone and the nutjobs involved reeks of racism on so many levels.  Yes, indeed, “the hits just keep on coming!  Stay tuned….!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult
