Senator Senile

I remember, on occasion, my brother or some friends would call me a dumbf*** for doing something really f******dumb.  This was just common practice and we all had our share of ribbing, but it was kid stuff.  Let me give you an example so you can better understand the concept.  Let’s just say you are running behind in 12th grade typewriting class and in order to get your work turned in on time, a buddy helps you out by letting you copy a business form that everyone has to turn in.  The form is standardized so everyone should have all the same words and definitions on their form, except where you have to sign your name in black ink.  I bet you can see where this is heading.  So you hurriedly type out the form and since everything is word for word, when you go to sign it, you don’t sign your own name, you sign your buddies.  That’s an example of being a dumbf***!

Now we revert over to yesterday’s Senate hearings over the status of Covid-19 with Dr. Anthony Fauci.  I just so happen to catch the proceedings at the right time as Senator Rand Paul ® from Kentucky was turning this into a pseudo-heated exchange.  I immediately realized 2 things, first off, an infectious disease non-expert is grilling the Nation’s infectious disease expert and 2nd off, I have yet to denigrate this particular Republican Senator.  Sometimes, timing is everything.  The example I used in the previous paragraph about being a DF is more of a naive example, but this, that I was witnessing at the moment, wasn’t.  This “Pub” was trying to make a mockery of the situation with cacameme rhetoric about folks who have already had the virus and/or vaccine and are still wearing a mask are engaging in “theatre” despite the CDC advising to keep doing so, since there is that possibility that folks can still pass it onto others, plus being a target of all the other variants that have invaded our space.  To make matters worse, this blowhole would keep interrupting Dr. Fauci when he attempted to either answer a question or validate as to what Senator Dildo said was misinformation or dead wrong.  My favorite part was when right after the “theatre” remark, Dr. Fauci calmly glared at him and said, “Let’s look at the facts.”  He then reiterated the hard facts of how Covid-19 is not the flu, but the deadly pandemic that it has become.  Well, I’ve got some hard facts for this Kentucky Headhunter.  I won’t name them all, but there are over 540,000 of them.  The unfortunate thing is that there are folks out there that listen to morons like this Senator and agree with him.  These folks aren’t naive, they’re just plain ol’ dumbf***s!  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
