3 Up - 3 Down

1st Up: Oh Pleeeeeeeeease!!!  Talk about using high octane gas to put out a fire.  Fox News just hired former Trump stumpin’, conspiracy theorin’, fake newsin’, head bimbo-ologist White House Press Secretary, Kayleigh McEnany.  Are they going to actually give her her own show?  What are they going to name it, The Valley Girl View?  Just what we need, another Big Mac.  Not only do we have a Senator Mac and a Representative Mac, now we have NewsMac.  We’ve just gone beyond our Macs-i-mum limit.  Is that why they’ve been cleaning house?  Make more room for the far-out right-stremists?  I’m sure it pays well and it’s certainly not based on what she knows.  As far as I’m concerned, she’s an accomplice for aiding and abetting her previous boss for the infamous insurrection.  Oh well, just another face to add to my Fox News dartboard that is already overcrowded!

2nd Up: Now let’s pick on Teddy Bear Cruz who showed up for the CPAC Comedy Hour in Orlando, FL this past week-end.  I didn’t expound on his routine in my previous CPAC article, except for his Cancun joke, but I’ve come across more footage of his attempt at humor that warrants remarks of a denigrating nature.  Is it just me, am I out of touch with the rules of stand up comedy in that it’s okay to joke and make fun of the Pandemic of the 21st century?  He seemed to relish in his put downs of masks and other protocols of social distancing, which comes as no surprise since the “Pubs” aren’t ones to be concerned with safety issues.  It would be at this moment that I would say something like, “Don’t Quit Your Day Job,” but I sure wish he would.  Sorry Teddy, but the joke’s on you!

3rd Up: Now onto the light side of today’s speech spew.  I have come across a really super weird photo of a really super weird sight about a really super weird object.  The object is the infamous 6 foot, 200 pound photo-op TrumpGoldenCalf that was rolled into the CPAC cluster of potential Covid contaminants.  Right off the bat, I need to confirm to you that the picture turns out to be an altered image, but even if it weren’t, it wouldn’t surprise me.  It shows a group of Evangelicals around the image with their heads bowed in prayer.  Let’s say for the sake of argument that it wasn’t altered and actually happened, there would be millions of folks in this country who would not think anything out of the ordinary.  Of course, there would be millions more that would resemble Wile E. Coyote with the bug eyes.  That’s another thing, even with the one issue voter abortion issue, the evangelical support for Trump is confusing to me, strange bedfellows indeed that seem as nauseating as ice cream and ketchup.  I suppose there were, most likely, more photos taken with the caricature than the real one, but alas, it’s not easy to tell the difference!  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
