Unconscionable Contract

I feel terrible for the Democrats in Congress.  They missed out on an opportunity of a lifetime.  They had their chances, but they blew it and let the Rebumblecans hoard and abscond with all the nut jobs, flakes and Q-Quacks.  There are so many to go around.  What is it in the Republican Party that attracts all these wacko #1 draft picks and why can’t the Democrats get at least a sliver of the pie?  I have given this much thought and have come up with a list of 5-points that prohibit their ability to attract these magnanimously moronic mental misfits.  

There are various elements that could be at the top of the list in contributing to the Democrats failure to procure some of these far out zealous extremists, but I have to give the #1 reason to the fact that the Dems have a brain and they know how to use it.  It’s a well known fact, or at least oughta be, that the incoming set of Republican rookies are given a deposit box to store their brains in before they take their oath of office.  Unfortunately, many of them seem to misplace their keys.  Fortunately, there are a few who have no marked difference whatsoever after their brains have been deposited.  Now these are the chosen few, their top #1 picks, especially the ones that get these standing ovations for broadcasting their charming bodacious being.  In the #2 spot is their sense of decency.  They actually want to combat the dreaded disease of the 21st century and even try to save Republicans from Covid-19 mortality stats.  The Republicans, on the other hand, have no such game plan and are secretly conspiring that this virus would run rampant in only the Blue States.  The 3rd item against them is cohesion.  They are one entity working for the common good for all citizens.  Tch! Tch! Tch!  There they go again, trying to be a bunch of concerned caregivers.  The Republicans got it together and have broken up into 27 different factions, jogging for position with everyone for themselves.  Survival of the fittest is the order of the day.  Common sense takes the #4 entry and that is certainly something the Republicans are never concerned with.  If you get a chance, check out a close up of certain Republicans.  You may catch one or two who wear a string of garlic around their necks in order to keep common sense and logic at bay.  The Democrats feel that they should use a logical well planned course in pursuing that which will be well received and beneficial for all, which leads to their downfall.  Seems to me that they would be showered with more respect and attention by adding an additional clothing option, like perhaps a shouldered AR-15.  Now before I unveil the last item on the list I have some honorable mentions.  Of course, these are items that are foreign to the Republican Party such as: facemasks, common courtesy, backbone, reality, integrity, grace, reason, etc., etc., etc.  Bringing up the final nail in the coffin: Conscience. Ahh you say?  Now you get it.  Now you see why the Republicans have the upper hand, they’re unconscionable!   The Democrats use an admirable quality called good conscience.  The Republicans have no need, that’s why they can act like a bunch of gorillas and run amok.

Needless to say the Dems have their hands full and they look to sundown each day when all turns peaceful as the Trumpublican faction become silent, face Mar-a-Lago, kneel down and bow and quietly chant: stop the steal, stop the steal, stop the steal, stop the steal.  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
