Suicide Squad

Republican Party - Born March 20, 1854, Ripon, Wisconsin; Died February 13, 2021, Washington D.C.;  Cause of death - There are many factors as to the demise of the Republican Party with the main cause being in-house bickering amongst the 27 known offshoots vying for position creating an overabundance of friction resulting in spontaneous combustion.  Is there any one person, Republican or otherwise, that is the main perpetrator of its demise?  Yes and No.  Yes, in the case of one, Donald J. Trump, Business CEO Conspiracy-Theorist Conman.  Head of the TrumpServative Party!  No, in the case of the Pseudo-Republicans themselves falling victim to innumerable scams and conspiracies of the aforementioned Head of the TrumpServative Party.  The official obit is really drawn out and would put you to sleep, but it does state the irony of it falling apart was basically caused by the Republicans inefficiency of convicting one, Donald J. Trump, former President of the United States, during his Impeachment #2 Trial.  Had they convicted him, it would have been their salvation and have revived the Party.  Oh well!

Let’s go back and see if we can somehow change their mortality statistic.  Note: I have no desire to save said Party and have always done my best to speed up their self destruct mode.  I googled for info on Trump’s political affiliations. Sounds like he’s been all over the map. Trump registered as a Republican in Manhattan in 1987 and since that time has changed his party affiliation 5 times:  1999 - Reform Party; 2001 - Democratic Party; 2009 - Republican Party; 2011 - Independent Party; 2012 - Republican again.  He should have just started his own and called it the Warped Wishy Washy Party.  He campaigned for President in 2000, but eventually dropped out and tried again in 2004 as a Democrat, but didn’t get to 1st base.  Guess the Dems had wisdom beyond their years, something the GOP missed out on.  Now we fast forward to 2016, which is the final beginning of the end for the Republican Party.  Right there, is where history could have been changed and all these bullshit years since then could have been diverted.  I will never forgive them and they do not deserve to be forgiven.  They and they alone changed my apolitical viewpoint.  I was perfectly content going along registered as a Minnesota DFL’er doing what I was doing and minding my own business.  It wasn’t that I was so much of a Democrat as I was probably more of an Anti-Republican.  I know I never voted Republican, but I did not always vote Democrat either.  2016 changed from the Republican Party to the Party of Trump.  In essence, Trumpism rules the roost and they had the opportunity of a lifetime to go in for the kill yesterday and they fucking well blew it.  In the end, they are destroying themselves and their Party.  I would be glad to lend a hand in this crash and burn scenario and serve up the kool aid or perhaps provide them with the honorable Articles of Harakiri.  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
