Cruzin’ For A Bruzin’

WTF was Cruz thinking?  He should have known better!  Wrong!  That’s just the point!  He doesn’t, on both counts!  He’s a Republican, it’s not an inherent attribute.  Tch! Tch! Tch!  Looks like Lead-Head Ted is at it again and the Eyes of Texas are certainly upon him!  These GOP’ers keep scampering on a daily basis to create headlines that are either false or misleading or controversial or fake or scandalous or stupid or mean or all of the above and always WRONG!  While the Dems are low-keyed, sleeves rolled up jobbers and barely being news items, the Pubs are headline grabbers who always seem to get their hands caught in the cookie jar.  It doesn’t matter anymore if it’s Cruz or Hawley or Boebert or Green or the Big Macs or Trump himself, in the end, they always find a way to shoot themselves in the foot!  Right now, the Republican Party is mired down and treading in the mud.  I’m sure there are plenty of Pubs breathing a sigh of relief today since their Teddy-Bear is taking most of the abuse and heat, or should I say, freezing stares and cold shoulders.  Another great evening in store for all the late nite show TV hosts!

I’m getting closer and closer to pulling the plug on these irrepressive Pubs!  Here we are, still battling the pandemic of the 21st century, millions unemployed, national disaster in Texas, global warming/freezing, foodlines, cancel culture, the My Pillow Putz, the Kanyedashian divorce debacle etc. and all they do is bicker amongst themselves.  In a way, that’s cool.  The Dems can quietly take care of business whilst the Pubs are distracting themselves by piling malicious malarkey on each other and to top it off, they are still wallowing in Trumpism and living The Big Lie!  As of this moment, I have spotted no less than 27 Teddy-Boy Cruz references while scrolling on the internet.  Of course, SNL is right up there with the best of them.  He’s a hot item and getting another shot of his 15 minutes of shame.  Don’t worry though, he has a whole slew of competition out there besides the six-pac I had mentioned in the previous paragraph.  There is also DeSantis, Gaetz, Graham, Giuliani, Newsmax and some of those Fox Fools.   I myself can survive just fine without them and if they were to suddenly vanish, there wouldn’t be so much as a glimmer in The Force.  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
