Hold Your Breath

So how can you eradicate the scourge of the 21st century?  There are many defenses that have been used, but nothing has worked so far.  This epidemic is a loose canon and has run maliciously unchecked with no concern whatsoever as to whoever stands in the way.  Well, I have the remedy to put an immediate end to this demonic proclivity for chaos and prevent it from rearing its ugly head ever again.  This has already been tried, but it has not been completely followed through.  The answer of course is Impeachment with removal from office and disqualification from ever holding public office again.  Oh, I’m sorry, did I confuse you?  I’m actually talking about the other slimeball virus.

I am a bon-a-fide senior citizen who was born when Truman was President so I have gone through 12 previous oval office holders, some of whom I voted for.  My 1st legal Presidential election was 1968 and my voting record is 6 wins - 8 losses.  As I mentioned in previous articles, my favorite was JFK, who made an everlasting impression on me whilst I was a teenager.  As for the elephant herd, I had respect for them.  Nixon was not a fan favorite, but I have to admit, his Foreign Policy was off the charts.  I’ve had tremendous respect for the man and the office for these past 12 Administrations, although it was tarnished somewhat with Nixon.  After the Kennedy assassinations, politics became a non-entity for me, that is until this most recent historical record setting voter turnout legal non-fraud election between The Force and The Dark Side.  Thank goodness we are on the verge of the Return of the Jedi, however, Darth Vader and his Storm Troopers are not going to relinquish anything anytime soon.  I see these next couple of weeks going bonkers on a daily basis.  He got things rolling with another phone call to Brad Raffensperger to let him know that the President has Georgia on his mind.  And Georgia, Georgia is on the brink of history in a Senatorial run-off of both Republican Incumbents facing off against their Democratic challengers.  This looks to be another election that will be too close to call.  Things have really spun out of control in this country.  I agree that there are plenty of things that need reforming and the #1 item on the hit list is that we have to vacate the single minded authoritarian rule of one man and transfer that power back to the people.  The United States is battling 2 viruses, at the same time, on 2 fronts, against 2 destructive entities.  Plus, on the sidelines, waiting for the word from their pompous potentate are all those brainwashed Trumpuppets, who have been told to stand-down and stand-by, waiting for Wednesday.  I smell disaster!  Stay tuned….!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
