Ding-a-ling-ism

74,223,744 ding-a-lings voted for Trump in the 2020 election.  Ain’t that something?  Out of those 74,223,744 ding-a-lings there will be family members and hangers on of his, that I will need to exclude.  I will be generous, in my benefit of a doubt, if all his family members voted for him.  I don’t know for sure and maybe his wife didn’t vote for him at all, you know, she may not be affiliated with either of the 2 major parties and be a member of one of the 223 other ones.  She may be a founding member of the 3rd Wives Party and if so, I won’t be able to exclude her.  And if that’s the case, other family members may have sided with her and jumped ship.  And how do we know if Trump had even voted for himself.  He gets confused a lot and may have filled in the wrong circle.  Same thing can be said about Biden, as they are both in their 70’s and are susceptible to mental irregularities.  I myself am in my 70’s and I can certainly attest to that, but they are older.  Thank goodness that there were over 7,000,000 other voters who were sidin’ with Biden.  So, what do you think?  Shall we take this to the next level?  Let’s give Trump all the 2,704,851 extra votes from all the other offshoot parties and this would give him a total of 76,928,595 votes.  He would still lose by 4,354,890 votes.  In 2016, he called his victory a landslide just as he did this time around.  Hey Donny, can you spell “Delusional?”  I doubt any of the previous 44 presidents would have said that if they lost the popular vote by 2,868,686 votes.  He’s a one termer, who lost the popular vote twice, by a total of almost 10,000,000 votes.  Now that’s what I call a real voting record.

So who do we have to blame for Trumpism: The Electoral College, The Republicans, Trump himself?  I would say all 3 choices are to blame and if I were in charge, all 3 would have to go.  Okay, okay, the Republicans can stay, maybe, but the other 2 subjects need to be exiled.  The previous 4 years have been brutal and how would we have been able to survive 4 more?  According to Microsoft News, there are folks who have left the country after Trump won the election, but as to how many is unclear, since the U.S. doesn’t formally track emigration.  However, CTV News reported that Canada received more than 9,000 American applications for permanent residency in 2017, the Central Statistics Office in Cork, Ireland reported a 29% increase of Americans after Trump won the election and New Zealand’s Business Ministry stated that as of February, 2018, 6,204 Americans emigrated there on work visas.  I remember in April, 2017 when my wife and I were flying back to Minnesota from Orlando, Florida and were talking to an American Citizen in the window seat who was with the Peace Corps.  She works down in South America and after her conference in Minneapolis, she’s heading back down and will be there until, at least, 2021.  She asked us how we could allow such a thing and we replied that we did our best to prevent it.  There have been reports of folks who moved on account of certain disturbing Trump supporters.  I met some fellow veterans at a convention in Melbourne, Florida in May of 2019 that have moved to Ecuador.  There are countless folks out there that have fled the country due to Trumpism.  My wife and I haven’t given a whole lot of thought, of vacating, for foreign parts, but the subject has been broached, on occasion, the past 4 years, however, we do carry our passports with us, just in case, but decided to wait and see what the 2020 election decides.  Thank goodness, the majority of folks came to their senses, but there were 74,223,744 ding-a-lings who didn’t.  Stay tuned…..!
