TRAINWRECK

Everyone would most always prefer to be on a fast track to success.  For 99 and 44/100th’s percent of us, overnight success is years in the making.  A pseudo-famous musician friend of mine had a t-shirt inscribed with, “You’re looking at a 27 year stubborn streak of overnight success!” I told him he was quite fortunate to have achieved that in little to no time.  Some folks  want, need, desire and/or demand instant gratification, but that usually starts to wean somewhat after kindergarten.  Unfortunately, there are those who have failed miserably in social graces and carried this scourge into the highest levels of government.  The result of this reality, for most of the world, has the “unconscionable chaos” of a Trump Trainwreck!

Hey, you still with me?  This is the Federal Government here, you can’t say federal government and instant gratification in the same sentence!  It’s an oxymoron, it’s right up there with Army Intelligence and Jumbo Shrimp.  It takes eons of time to be even remotely gratified with the federal government.  The only exception here would be in the case of Turbulent Trump as he defines oxymoron.  He has the ability to Act Naturally and be Amazingly Awful when Clearly Confused and Weirdly Normal in his True Myth.  After 4 years, he is still trying to run his circle of power like a family business.  He still can’t hear cause he doesn’t listen.   Reminiscent of his days as a reality TV clown where he always seemed to be firing someone.  Well, over 400 people have come and gone through his revolving door and I am sure someone is being fired, quit, resigned, moved on or just plain walked out as we speak, like ballast leaving a sinking ship.  When did it all go so wrong for this orange and blonde egotistical, conceited, self-loving, bigheaded, vainglorious, self-effacing narcissist?  Oh boy, let me take a stab at this one: um, maybe when he made his announcement to run for President?  I figure that he wanted to up the stakes and get his self-worth in the news more often, so what better way to do that, then to become President of the United States.  He figures if he can become President, then his face, words and actions would be in the news on a daily basis.  Wouldn’t matter if the news is good, bad or indifferent, it’s publicity and he basks in its glory.  Problem is, he’s involved with the forces of nature and when it comes to the government, there is no such thing as a fast track.  Previous Presidents have all known this ahead of time.  Kennedy fared well with the best and the brightest, Nixon, not as well with his band of questionable characters and ne’er do wells, but they both listened and observed in order to come to sound decisions. Unfortunately for us, his  obsession to constantly run things his way has put us in deep do-do and he and his inner circle will go down being termed as the dumb and the dumbest.  How many derailments have there been along the way is hard to say.  There is one bright spot though and that’s the pending new placement of our 15th President, James Buchanon, he will no longer occupy the bottom rung.  Stay tuned…..!
