Indescribably Malicious

WTF!!!!!!!!  The world has turned upside down and Republicans are acting like a bunch of f@#$ing gorillas, led by an orange shaded King Kong who acts more like a Ding Dong singing the same old song.  What have we citizens, of this country, allowed to take place in 2016?  Was complacency that prevalent that we didn’t bother to take seriously enough the candidacy of a former 1st Lady and a reality TV clown.  Well, all you inventive voters out there who got creative or otherwise with your votes and actually did a write-in Mickey Mouse vote have been sorry ever since.  I’m not exactly not guilty, myself, of voting for someone insignificant, I did vote, but I voted like the majority of people in this country, I voted against someone.  The late famous comedian, George Carlin once said, “Anyone in this country can run for president and that’s the problem.”  Boy oh boy, if he only lived to see the horror of that statement.

Allow me to introduce myself!  My name is Sullie and I have decided to expand my humorous sarcasm of editorializing about Minnesota High School Hockey with my website, “The Rink Rat Review” for the past 25 years and move into a more well rounded socially significant atmosphere such as politics.  Basically, I am rather apolitical as it is one of 3 subjects I normally ignore along with religion and music.  However, the past 4 years have produced such a vast plethora of popular political protest programs with the media and my wisdom is such that I know I can’t beat them (even if I wanted to) so I prefer to join them and add my fuel to the fire.  So, where do I start?  Well, since shit floats to the top, let’s start with that sad, strange orange looking humorless grouch with small hands who has my pity, that is, till he falls down and cracks his hair in half and things turn hilarious.  How can one guy, turn this country into the laughing stock of the world and how could, “We, the People” allow it to happen?  Again, that’s where complacency came into play during the last presidential campaign.  Looks like things have turned around and have become seriously surreal.  Do we need a world-wide pandemic to take this guy down?  I don’t think so, as I truly believe he can do that all on his own.  First of all, I would like to clear my name from the get go.  I’m not one of those now disillusioned voters who voted for a spoiled rotten broken down draft-dodging spend my daddy’s money billionaire!  Nope not me, I’m with the rest of you who voted with the majority of the popular vote.  As a veteran of this nation’s armed forces, that puts me in a natural conflict with the likes of him, which would be akin to: oiI and water; ice cream and ketchup; banana cream pie and beer; you know, the usual run of the mill polar opposites!  I would have given my eye teeth to have Obama pull an FDR!  I think even QE2 threw her crown into the ring as a kindly goodwill gesture saying she would run with it for 4 years.  Was the least she could do to help repatriate those nasty taxes back in the 1700’s.  As for me, my disenchantment with the guy goes back even before he became the “You’re Fired Guy.”  I believe that no one believed he was serious, but serious he was and the worst possible result became reality.  So here we are now, on the brink of Round 2.  We have gone beyond reality TV folks!  If I can only wake up from this bad dream!  Stay tuned…..!

Uncommon Failure

Okay, I’ll let you all be the judge and jury of the following statement that I came across that was buried in the dark corners of the internet where I usually find my strange and highly unusual articles of confoundation.  This is a Los Angeles Times letter to the editor ( https://www.latimes.com/opinion/story/2021-04-12/huntington-beach-ku-klux-klan ) about the “burb” of Huntington Beach.  Headline: “Common ground with the Ku Klux Klan?  Huntington Beach has a problem.”  The letter starts off with, “As Huntington Beach was preparing for a Ku Klux Klan rally and, in response, a Black Lives Matter counter protest, police department spokesman Lt. Brian Smith said,” now here’s the kicker, “We hope that they can utilize events like this as a means to find the common ground and work together for the common goal.”  ???  I thought I would substitute the usual WTF that usually follows an incredulous statement like that with question marks.  I never pass up the ...

The New Cult

Past cult leaders the likes of Sun Myung Moon, David Koresh and Jim Jones, exemplary role models for “Moonies”, “Davidians” and “Peoples Templers” are said to have had a charismatic  gift of gab and were able to ensnarl a whole slew of followers into their realm.  They, of course, have since passed into the great beyond.  Moon was 92 when he died of pneumonia, Korish was 33 when he and his zealots died with guns blazing and Jones 47, died with his lemmings from a bad dose of kool-aid.  There was a rumor going around that his last words were, “Hey, did someone spike this stuff!”   Like Stalin, Hitler and Atilla the Hun, these folks had the innate ability to sway the masses.  To this day, I still can’t figure out how.  I was more enamored with garden slugs than those “coots.”  Nowadays, we have a new malady in our midst, an anomaly if you will, who not only doesn’t have a gift of gab, but cannot even enunciate words correctly, uses alternative facts...
