Delusions of Grandeur

The new Third Reich has unveiled itself in Washington, D.C. with an orange-tinged Hitler at the helm of his regime and boy, does he have all his underlings cowering.  They now claim that they are working on the 2nd term of their dictatorship and refuse to acknowledge that the majority of voters in the United States of America voted him out.  He best vacate the White House that belongs to, “We the People.”  I have no idea what this ignoramus is trying to pull and if he chooses to continue forthwith, I can envision Seal Team Six making an appearance in his immediate future and things are really going to turn ugly.  By the time they are done with him, he won’t know his a** from a hole in the ground.  Okay, so that’s scenario #1 of how I see this played out, now onto scenario #2.  Wait a minute!  No, no, no, no, no, let’s just go with the one scenario.  The other ones are solid, but a tad far out as they deal with witness protection, alien abduction, Kremlin tour guide, auditioning for the new Alfred E. Neuman mascot.  Besides, scenario #1 is the most palatable.

It behooves me as to how an individual can turn himself into a Looney Tunes comic book character and do it so effortlessly.  It figures that the Trumpster is the 13th president in my lifetime.  #13 - a bad luck number; a number that frightens folks; a number that is omitted in some hotel elevators; a superstitious number, especially if it falls on a Friday; an entity with a bad rap.  What needs to be done now is to give up the ghost on #13 and turn our attention to #14, but unfortunately, #13 won’t go away.  He is embroiled with delusions of grandeur.  He firmly believes that he won and that Biden did not beat him.  He’s half-right: he did lose, but Biden didn’t beat him, Donald Trump did!  To add insult to injury, he lost 5 states (Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Georgia) that flipped from 2016.  The electoral vote also flipped from 2016 with 306 for Trump and 232 for Clinton to 2020’s 306 for Biden and 232 for Trump.  He is also less popular than 4 years ago as he lost that count to Hillary by 2,868,519 votes to 2020’s loss to Biden by 5,919,621 votes and counting..  Whoa!  That’s more than twice as much.  Does that mean he’s more than twice as unpopular?   Also, in 2016 he garnered 45.9% to Hillary’s 48.0% of the popular vote, a difference of 2.1% to 2020’s 47.2% to Biden’s 51.0%, a difference of 2.8%.  He lost in every statistical category imaginable even in the mask and smiles classification:  Kamala & Joe smile and wear masks, Mike & Donny don’t.  After all this, he still says he won.  Like I said, delusions of grandeur.  Stay tuned…..!
