D-Day +1

Welcome to Day 2 of the struggle and the continuing saga of our woes in the world of social media and mind boggling instant news.  Yesterday was a record-breaking cast your vote day and today is a record-breaking file more lawsuits than should be allowed by law day.  The rest of the world is being treated to a performance of the ultimate 3-ring circus, not led by a dapper dressed Ringmaster, but by a sorry sack of a hack with a knack to lack tact.  There should be a word to describe today’s antics and should be no more than 2 syllables.  I can think of quite a few words to describe the indescribably malicious cause of all this grief, but I really can’t repeat them in print so I will just go with “perplexed!”  That’s the look I see on many political figures face’s in the aftershock of another Trump Tirade.  As of this writing, the Trump Campaign has filed unwarranted legal action against 5 states: Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  Now right off the top of my head, I can think of some other states that would like to get in on the opportunity to get a piece of the action.  You know, states that don’t really get any newsworthy publicity like perhaps tiny Rhode Island or North Dakota, why can’t he go after those guys, after all, there is no such thing as bad publicity.  In reality, the GOP is disintegrating under their own influence.  Think about this: what if Hillary won in 2016?  There would have been a few sidebar controversies and that, but not to the scale of what we have had these past 4 years.  Just think of all the TV news personalities that we are flooded with now.  Where would these, years in the making, overnight success stories be today without Trump.  He has become the most newsworthy personality of the 21st century so far.  Be as it may, it is, entertainment value, but I truly believe that we, as a nation, could have gotten by just fine without it.  Stay tuned…..!
