Dark Days

It just hit me!  I’m being repeated now on a daily basis.  Seems that more of my type of verbiage is becoming more and more prevalent.  Not only in the written word, but live TV.  It’s becoming commonplace to see these talk show news hosts arguing with their guests.  Last month was a hoot with these far right no-news networks abruptly ending an interview in mid-sentence.  Lately, I have been seeing a change of tact.  Blue Network hosts are starting to keep it simple by asking questions that only require a yes or no answer, since their Red counterparts dance around and skirt the question at hand.  An acquaintance of mine in the industry had an interview lately with a State Official who would not answer any direct yes or no question by replying with indirect out of context rebuffs.  He calls these blowhards “dodgers” as they always try to dodge the issue.  When this State Official left the interview, my friend looked out onto the parking lot and sure enough, the guy drove away in a Dodge Charger.  Figures, eh?

In other news, it is not all quiet on the Eastern Front.  The WW lll battleground a.k.a. Congress has not been able to come to grips with Liz Cheney.  It’s become Wrestlemania over there.  I sure wish I could help her out.  Seems like it’s her against the world, albeit for Mitt Romney and Adam Kinzinger.  Those 3 are our only hope, The Father, The Son and the Soon To Be Toast.  Here’s my fantasy, we take these 3 and any that stand with them and scrap off the rest, from McConnell on down.  Then recruit some replacements like in that movie starring Gene Hackman and Keanu Reeves called, “The Replacements” and this country will end up with a takeoff of The Grand Old Party.  Big things have been accomplished with less than that, there was Adam & Eve, Bill & Ted, Tom & Jerry, Bonnie & Clyde, etc.  Fantasy could turn into reality, except when dealing with Trumpublicans.

Let’s see now, we’ve touched on the Dark Side and the Darker Side and now we go to the Darkest Side a.k.a. The Far Out Xtremist No-News Network.  I continually pick on these clowns for 2 simple reasons, first off: because I can and I’m good at it and because they are sooo easy.  They don’t lurk about in the dark or in secret laboratories and I don’t think they operate out of a quonset hut at area 51, although, they would certainly qualify.  Nope, they do everything out in the open in broad daylight in front of God and everyone and to top it off, they religiously believe that they are dead balls accurate.  The only semblance of accuracy that has ever come out of that entity was that they were the 1st network to call Arizona for Biden on election night.  There have been a lot of accuracies that were aimed in their direction, such as, they have never won any journalism awards which leads to a 2nd accuracy in that they are not journalists.  My depiction of these nabobs is simple: The Republican Party is like a 3-ring circus and Fox is the clown corral.*  Fox, once again, has a disturbing headline floating out there in the broad daylight I just alluded to and this time by Laura Ingraham who spouted off with, “Time GOP leadership scrape off the barnacle of the Bush-Cheney era.”  Okaaaay.  First off, I can’t read or listen to any of her shit so I conjecture here.  In a nutshell, I guess what she probably means is that the Republican Party should now become the Trumpublican Party and the respected and respectful Republican Party of Bush & Cheney are simply barnacles to be scrapped off.  Wow, I think George W. and his side-kick Dick is gonna eat that one up.  I wonder if this bimbo means Liz Cheney and in that case, Bush is collateral damage.  Either way, it’s scary!  Stay tuned…..!

*My abject apologies to Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus for the negative analogy.
